Yeah, I suck, but here's Mix 11
I'm sure nobody's surprised by the absence of posts on this blog, but I'm indifferent. However, I finally have Mix 11 done (actually it's been done for a week, but I couldn't find a good distribution method because Grooveshark didn't have the (amazing) new Bon Iver LP (go figure as it's still not officially out)). Anyways, here's the link and tracklist, if you want the MP3's, let me know and I'll get them to you.

Past and Present
I maintain that it doesn't get much better than cruising on a summer night with the windows down while blasting The Postal Service. Turns out it's even better when there's a cool ocean breeze rolling in off the Atlantic. I sure wish Ben Gibbard would hook up with Jimmy Tamborello again and give us more. For now I'll make do with the absolute bliss of the past.
As far as something that is new, I've been really into the Remix Artist Collective (RAC) recently. RAC is a group of three guys who together produce amazing reinterpretations of indie songs. These are not your typical remixes with club beats that overpower the original work, but entirely new productions in themselves. They dropped a mix of a Noah And The Whale song the other day, and it definitely polishes up the song, which was originally produced in NATW's simplistic style.

Band of Horses - Georgia
Thought this one was deserving of some attention...Cee Lo Green, that fellow who's presently pretty famous for that catchy "Fuck You" tune, wrote this song. I think Ben Bridwell's country twang screaming into the mic makes for a superior rendition. Apparently Cee Lo has covered BoH's "No One's Gonna Love You". Also, I was just in Atlanta the other day so I thought it was apropos.

Welcome to Mix Infinity
So I'm going to give this music blogging thing a try. No hopes to become the next Pitchfork, but I wanted a place to put semiarchived copies of my mixes. Consequently, I'll probably be posting links to new songs and shit for your listening pleasure, and perhaps some reviews if I feel ambitious. So, feel free to bookmark this or 'follow' me as the kids are calling it these days. The mixes are Groovesharked on the left (I'm missing the Mix 7 tracklist due to a tragic hard drive failure and me leaving my only copy in Indiana). Also, Mix 11 is nearing completion, should have it done in the next couple of weeks.
Don't be surprised if I lose interest in this and stop posting. Just so we're clear. May this disclaimer be taken to heart just as I should have heeded the disclaimer at the beginning of 500 Days of Summer.
